We all know the popularity that the fanny pack once had, and believe it or not, it still gets between 100 thousand and 1 million monthly searches! Even though this phrase gets that many searches, the problem still lies with the fact that fanny packs are are boring and, well, look like a fanny pack. Well not any more!!!
The New Dad bod Fanny Pack
Albert Pukies is currently trying to find production partners to create the “New fanny Pack” that makes you look like you have a Dad bod. That’s right. You read that correctly! A Dad bod! These creative fanny packs come in a variety of different looks to help match the mood or body style. Here are a few examples from the thedadbag.com website:
As you can see, these are no normal fanny packs! These are original indeed!
You may be saying “I want one, but they don’t have my body type” right? Well, think again! Albert has a few different prototypes for different body types. Check them out below!
Being in the Dad niche for blogs, I read a lot of Dad-related content. With some of the research I have done, I found that the Dad bod is actually quite attractive to women. In fact, there was an online survey by Kelton Global of 2,006 Americans men and women 18 and over commissioned by Planet Fitness that states the following:
—78 percent of women feel men with dad bods are confident in their own skin.
—Nearly half of women (47 percent) even believe dad bods are the “new six-pack.” Nearly three in five (58 percent) mothers feel dad bods are the new six-pack.
—83 percent of mothers would be proud to have a husband with a dad bod.
Now if you want to know why Planet Fitness would run an article like this, you can check it out here, but to sum it up, they wanted to let Dads know that they can feel comfortable in their own skin.
My Personal Note
I am honestly not sure what to think of these. They are funny and kinda nasty at the same time, which is why I think they will be great sellers! The only downside I see is that the market will need to be toward the non-dad bod guys out there. Either way, I think these are a stroke of genius and can’t wait to see the future of the Dad Bod Fanny pack!
