Woodworking Projects for Dad

woodworking projects

I have fond memories of doing woodworking projects with my dad as a kid. He had all sorts of tools and equipment and did a fair amount of woodworking on his own. I built a bookcase, completed a couple of projects on the lathe, and helped out with some odds and ends. My dad would say that he was never able to pound a nail straight, and that was a trait I inherited from him.

I often think about starting a woodworking project, but I don’t always know where to start. While searching the web, I found this cool website called TedsWoodworking.com. If you want to build something, you need a plan and TedsWoodworking.com has more than 16,000 downloadable woodworking plans for all of your project needs.

Adirondack chairs, birdhouse plans, bookcase plans, cradle projects, mailboxes, wooden toys, you name it, there are plans for it.

TedsWoodworking.com has all sorts of plans that are drawn clearly and give step-by-step instructions of how the plans should be completed and assembled. Other sites don’t always give you everything you need to complete the project, which is frustrating to say the least.

TedsWoodworking.com has everything you need to get started:

  • Detailed diagrams with a full set of dimensions
  • Step-by-step instructions for how to go through your project
  • A list of what you’ll need for each project, including a list of the tools required

The plans are easy to follow to accommodate everyone from the total beginner to the somewhat experienced. Even the total woodworking newcomer will feel like a master in no time after following these clear instructions.

There’s videos too! I know sometimes when I’m reading some set of instructions, no matter how clear they are, they don’t always stick. TedsWoodworking.com has videos for some of its woodworking projects that demonstrate the techniques in building benches, home furniture, dog houses, bird feeders, sheds, and a ton more.

If you sign up at TedsWoodworking.com as a lifetime member you get access to these kinds of extras with no additional cost. This alone is worth the cost of signing up at TedsWoodworking.com!
